These lamps were brought to us by a consignor. They know nothing about the lamps. Thought they were 1950's vintage. Glass body in excellent condition with no damage. No damage to bases or to upper portion of lamp. All decorative glass ornaments intact. Bulb socket and shade stand tarnished but intact. Both lamps work. Shades appear to be correct vintage (the 70's). Bottom trim on both shades loose in one spot but otherwise in great shape except for heat fading on inside of shades. Cords show normal usage wear but not damaged at all. Thanks for any info that can be provided.
I have sheet music dating back to 1935 of "Tales from the Vienna Woods", "Porgy and Bess" and a Frank Sinatra one. Can you tell me the value of these peices? The "Porgy and Bess" and a Frank Sinatra ones are in mint condition but the strauss peice is without the jacket but otherwise in mint condition
One of the distinguishing features of our house is this dumbwaiter or elevator used to transport canned good and whatnot back in the day from the pantry in the basement directly to the first floor. It is hand operated with ropes on both sides (to go up and down) and is attached to steel braided pulley and steel counterweights. The only markings visible is "Energy Elevator Company Philadelphia". We are remodeling our galley kitchen and need the room for renovations. We are antique lovers and would like to see it used rather than just scrap it for more room. Keep in mind this unit is built-in to the wall. I can remove the entire unit with everything intact (screws, ropes, weights, etc.) or you may have it removed with your own contractor. This would be a perfect time-appropriate piece if you are restoring a victorian house of the same era.
