This is an Art Deco fish bowl stand. It was painted entirely black and we did
our best to remove the paint. The base is copper with an engraved design and the mermaids are brass. Their are 3 mermaids and behind them is a cylinder that
has an embossed design with deco looking ladies. The cylinder still have some residual paint, but looks like it is gray metal or silver. Above the mermaids there are silver looking leaves. Wrought iron twists and also holds a two gallon glass fish bowl. Unique piece. Can anyone help me with a value?
Limoges Theodore Haviland Fine China - service for 12! Approximately 135 pieces total. Only missing pieces are 7 tea cups and 1 individual butter dish (single patty size) - otherwise complete and in excellent condition. Been in the family since new (I am told it was a wedding gift to my great grandmother - and I am just over 60!). The service for 12 includes dinner plates, soup bowls, salad plates, demitasse cups & saucers, consume cups and saucers, butter plates, small dish (perhaps dessert?), tea/coffee cups (only 5, but all plates), butter server, gravy boat and plate, three covered serving dishes, 1 uncovered serving dish, four serving platters. All in excellent condition - as far as I know only one demitasse cup and one tea cup show slight stress crack (nothing broken or repaired) and there are no chips or other damage I am aware of.
Mark on back is in red, with Theodore Haviland (line 1) and Limoges (line 2) in italicized script and FRANCE (line 3) in block caps.
