This white wicker baby stroller is probably from the 1890's or earlier. It has two adjustable black leather straps in the back instead of springs.
It converts from a stroller to a carriage by raising or lowering the leg rest (it has 4 positions).
There is storage space under the seat accessible by opening the seat or a compartment in the back.
The front wheels are 12" in diameter and the back wheels are 24.5". The porcelain handle is 41" from the floor. The seat is 13" wide and 21.5" long when raised to the flat position.
This is a large piece, designed for an infant up to a toddler and was probably "state of the art" for the original owner. There are green velvet pads for the seat and legs that were with it when I purchased it in 1986. I don't think they were original but they fit so well they were definitely made to go with the buggy.
