I am trying to find out the value of this family heirloom. It has all original markings and tags. I may be interested in selling it. I haven't seen another one like it, except in the Virginia Historical Society Article. They showed an advertisement from way back when....

vey fancy design, heavy brass not shiny

This piece of Rookwood pottery has been in my family for 3 generations. It was a wedding gift to my grandparents. It was decorated by Edward Diers.

its been handed down over the yrs. it looks to be all hand made and hand made metal edges theres a removalble shelf inside i dont see any markings it has a pic inside of lid also looks that it had a paper lining insde its has two small metal wheels on bottom right side and at one point it had two leather straps on the side its all put together with small tack nails

moved to tn from ky my grandfather gave to me in 1972. my mom put in box rapped it in pillow cases and taped the box.. found it two months ago when i moved old clock but in good shape.
