Very regal looking chairs with upholstered seat and back. Carved swirls on the seat back, very dark black looking wood. Not sure if they are mohagany or some other dark wood. I can't determine if it is a paint or black lacquer making them dark and they also have a gold colored engraved trim. The seats are drop in with curved sides. beautifull desk,very deep(3ft)made by the jasper office furniture company out of indiana. the left side drawers are fake, there actualy one big door and behind the door is a large heavy duty shelf that slides out and is supported by a very strong looking mechanism. there are no broken pieces, just a couple of bumps and bruises, needs to be cleaned up and possibly refinished.
