I don't know if it is water color or what. it is a floral painting, they look like a flower on a lilly pad im not sure. there is all kids of blues and pinks. and it looks like it was painted on a canvas.
This is a beautiful antique handpainted plate. It is large and heavy with very detailed artwork. It has four people in the center of the plate. Two females appear to be bowing to the two other people. They appear to be in a gated tiled courtyard. The outer edge of the plate has very detailed flowers and what appears to be bees. There is a scroll. There is also fruit. It has very vibrant colors.
I am seeking information on 2 art prints. I purchased them together this weekend at a flea market.
1st is a painting of Saint Petersburg by Giovani Sodoma that I believe was photographed by Edizioni Brogi. At the bottom it reads: 2191. FIRENZA - Galleria Uffizi - San Sebastiano martirizzato ; Giov. Antonio Sodoma Edizioni Brogi.
2nd one reads at the bottom: 2566. Roma _ Vaticano _ Genio di Prassitele
After a little internet research I think they could be albumen prints. Both were printed on thin paper and have identical cardboard mounting. They measure approx. 11" x 14" ( 8" x 10" not including mounting.) I am lost in a sea of information and appreciate any input or information you can give. Thanks for looking!
This is a 13in oval, scalloped platter with floral pattern containing a mini landscape in the center of each floral stamp. The Stamp on the back is blurred but Hudson can be made out plainly. I believe it is a Homer Laughlin. There is a worn gold edging. This was my mother's and I'm just curious as to what it is and since I haven't seen this pattern in my searching, I'm wondering if it is rare! Thank you for any help you can give me!
Bottom cabinet has 2 small top drawers (5x18), 1 long drawer in the middle (10x36), 2 doors (16x36). The top piece has an oval mirror (36x16), one long shelf across the top with 2 small shelves on each side of the mirror.
