Refectory table, handed down through the family. Was used in a church/religious setting at some point. Table top swivels to reveal small storage space, then folds over to provide larger table surface.
The ring has a repeating floral pattern on the outside. The inside has a worn inscription which possibly reads "KiddieKraft 14k". The bottom half of each letter is worn away. "Kiddie..." is the clearest inscription. The ring has been in the Boston area for, at least, four generations of Baptisms. That would put it back to about the turn of the century. It is probably in its original box which has the A. Stowell & Co Boston inscription.
My parents purchased this sideboard cabinet in England at an antique fair about 20 years ago. I don't know anything about the history or approx. value and am looking for any advice on what it might be worth.
