Don't have any other information other then what was stated before. Was told by the thrift store it was a art transfer. Can't find any information on when transfer art was first started in the library or internet. Its looks pretty old the frame looks to be hand carved. Any information would be helpful. Thankyou andd Merry Christmas
I was given an unopened bottle of buchanan's "Black & White" blended scothc whisky. It was distilled and bottled in scotland under british government supervision. It has a strange seat on the top called the us international revenue on it with following numbers on this lable 244565623. It also has a sticker on the bottle with the Michigan liquior control commission with the numbers 19369208 on it. I was told this is quite valuable but would like to know for sure
I was at a rummage sale in 1985 and bought an older wooden Kennedy toolbox and was told they would not sell it to me unless I took this with it. When I got home, it was heavily covered with dirt and varnish and I could not see the brass or glass beads underneath the corner protectors. I began to clean it and when I saw the brass I had to keep going. I have used it to store small items in it from my children. I was told that at one time it had either a sextant or a surveyors instrument in it, but they had lost it.
It is a spectacular example with a soulful primitive form with panels surrounding the entire perimiter. In other words it is finished on the front, sides and back. The original hand pounded hargware and hinges are completely in tact. It is in excellent distressed condition, perfectly and poetically worn in a way that only hundreds of years can achieve. It measures 43" wide
