1898 Singer Sewing Machine Treadle Model 27

Category
General Antiques and Collectibles
Condition
Good
Description

I have an 1898 Singer treadle style Sewing Machine Model 27 Vibrating Shuttle number 2. It is the type with an extension that folds out and the machine is stored inside the base. I also have the little wooden box with all of the attachments, the foot and the thing that measures the seam allowance, two bobbins and a small Singer envelope with three needles. There are also two instruction manuals. One original and one 1899 reprint. They are both missing pages and most of the pages are tattered and torn. The original is missing the cover. The wood top of the sewing machine needs refinishing but overall its in great condition. I have been trying to find out how much its worth, but all of the ones that I can find for sale don't say whether or not they have the accessories that mine has. Some are in worse condition others are refinished and most are different years. So I have no idea. If anyone knows please let me know.

mirror/wall sconce

Category
Home Furnishings
Condition
Good
Description

The candle holders are very small, and in fact may actually have been pivots for larger, swinging candle arms.  The back plate is screwed on, and appears to be the same material.  The mirror is beveled, and has a chip beneath the surface on the bottom edge.

Dupont "Lannate is lightning" Lannate advertising promotional object, probably paperweight

Category
Other
Condition
Excellent
Description

I picked this little piece up at my Grandmother's estate because I found it humorous. It is an advertising promo from Dupont for a product called Lannate, which I see to be a bug killer. It is clear plastic with a white base. It has a thin plastic insert inside (does not come out) which has the Dupont logo and the words "Lannate is lightning" with a lightning bolt crashing down on a dead caterpillar, type bug which I'm pretty sure is real. I think the item might be a paperweight. It is 4 1/8" tall and the base is 1 3/8" square. This is a really neat promo and I'd really like to get a value range on it because I feel it may be rare but I'm not sure.

pin on silver? square medallion of unknown origin please help

Category
Silver and Silver Overlay
Condition
Good
Description

This is a little pin on badge or medal of some sort, I'm guessing. As the description above says, I'm pretty sure this is sterling silver. On the front is a train and horse scene with I guess maybe a soldier in the foreground. The only imperfection is in the pin on colth area, with some threads coming loose. The dimensions of this object are 1 1/8" tall and 1 3/8" wide. This is a charming little pin and I'd love to know the history of it.
