I have six of these chairs, only one has arms.

Glass ink well with hinged lid.  Can be removed from blue john base.  Reputed to be nineteenth century.

This painting hung for many years in a local lodge, and the lodge owner's son, who is now an elderly man, believes his Mother may have bought it in Ontario Canada, in the 1940's, knowing she has a lodge to decorate.  It looks Scandinavian, and that makes sense.  This valley was settled by the Scandinavians and the owner of the lodge might have wanted that sort of decor.
