DIA Glass Extension Table in Baughman Style

Category
American Furniture
Condition
Excellent
Description

This is an ALFIE extension table by DIA (Design Industries of America), in the style of Milo Baughman. Possibly an original. It features an imaginative, space-sensitive design with its "hidden" leaf which conveniently slides out to double its size. Made of stainless steel. The glass has no chips. The table is great condition. I have the original instructions label that came with the table.

Official Casino Gambling Chips- Las Vegas West

Category
General Antiques and Collectibles
Condition
Good
Description

Today, I went to a thrift shop and found an Official Casino Gambling Chips, with I thought were pretty cool.

While I was taking a look through it, a lady came up to me and asked if I was going to buy it, she seemed very interested in buying it for herself

I did some research,  and I think that these are late '70's early '80's chips. On the front plastic cover, it sais Official Casino Gambling Chips LAS VEGAS WEST San Diego, CA.

On one side of the chip it sais, CIRCUS, ALADDIN, DUNES, RIVERA, and on the other side it sais GRAND, STARDUST, SANDS, CEASERS.

I have a set of 147. I suppose that 3 are missing though.

Condition
Good
Description

Gustavsberg Sweden stamped on bottom.

Vase is approx 13 in high and has two spouts.

It is a white ceramic with a matte finish and possibly transfer printed flowers.

I found a similar design on a website but not with the flowers.

Any help is appreciated.  No cracks, but a slight chip on inner part of spout.

Very Early Nichols and Stone Rocker ?

Category
Furniture
Condition
Excellent
Description

**Note! Click on the pictures below to expand them to full size**  I found this rocker at a thrift store and dont know its age.   It appears to be some past form of a Nichols and Stone "Westminster" rocker since it has round spindles with flattened sections.   On the bottom is a very faded paper label with the numbers 676 020 (or maybe 026 ?) stamped on top of it.   It appears to have been stamped by hand since it was clearly stamped twice with the second attempt not perfectly aligned with the first.   There is also a black ink stamp showing two digits "02" in large font. It has the typical Nichols and Stone "brand" burned into the bottom of the seat.   There are various places on the chair where it has quite an old looking petina.   Nothing is broken or repaired.
