1 gallon Purex bottle

By tmill909, 10 May, 2011
Description

i wonder the price of this brown glass and also the maker. i saw a few other purex bottles on ebay, but they are not the same as the one i have. I find the most valuable thing about the bottle is its ability of making bass as i blow in it or a whistle as i blow to the side of the stem. am i correct?

Re: 1 gallon Purex bottle

Nope, they are mass produced bottles, I see cases of them sell at farm auctions all the time for under $25.00...

Re: 1 gallon Purex bottle

then what is the mark on the bottom? and what state do you live in? it is true they may be mass produced hence the halfmark.  but are there any that are older? maybe blown?
