First, let me begin by saying thank you to those who take the time to read my post. I feel as though I am taking a shot in the dark trying to identify the time and maker of this piece. This jewelry box belonged to my Great Anut Dolly and Samuel Martin (for those of you familiar with California history). It was in this sad condition when we received it and I am working to restore it. I am assuming it was crafted in the 1920's or 30's but could very well be mistaken as some of the other furniture pieces date back even further. While looking at the box I did come across a 2 identical maker marks etched on the inside of the doors which peaked my curiosity into finding out more about it. If anyone can assist identifying the mark or know anything in general about this type of piece, I would be beyond greatful. Also if you need more information, measurements or pictures, I will be more than willing to share.
Re: Antique Jewelry Box
Can you upload and provide a link to a picture of the maker's marks? And bless you for restoring this, its going to look beautiful when finished.
