Description

I have an old oak Murphy chair. Interested to know the approimate date this was made, and approximate value. The metal name plate on the back says Murphy Detroit Michigan. I was able to find that this company operated in Detroit from 1872 to 1919, and then moved to Owensboro, Kentucky. Because the name plate says Detroit is it safe to assume this was made before 1919? Any help would be appreciated.
