Description

Wondering if anyone can tell me anything about this powderhorn.  The engraving is real, and the horn weighs about 1 lb.  The orginal owner sold it around 1975, so it's probably around that age.

Well taken care of, so my question is, what is the value of these two.

Category Militaria
Medium Cowhorn
Distinguishing marks No signature
Condition Excellent
Size and dimensions of this item Approx. 19 in. for the large one, 9 in. for the small
Date Period 1900's
Weight 1 lb
History It has gun powder inside, which I should remove, so I'm guessing it was more then a wall decoration.
Price Paid (If known) $20

I beleave the horn is real from 1764 the leather looks replaced.. now if you could find out what Ft Washington This David was in, and Who David was, it might make it worth more.. But you can find a few names and ft named Washinton.. Looks like most of the small ones sell for $50.00+ and the big ones  $100.00+.. Did the owner do reinactments? some of these guys like the real horns,, Good Luck
