Description
This item is very heavy, at least 5lbs and possibly closer to 10lbs. The markings on the bottom seem worn off over time, and I couldn't find a match for the partial image that is on the bottom. There appears to be a seam between the top and the base where it was fused together, and my own research says that modern mortars made of metal are often made as one whole piece. I don't have an item history, as this was one of various items given to us by our neighbor before she moved.
