Can anyone help me identify this glass? I've REALLY tried! Is it carnival glass? Peachblow? Amberina???? It has no identifying marks. It's really thick and heavy! Any help would be appreciated!! Thanks!
Doesn't appear to be carnival glass. Too much of the glass is clear. And it is not depression era glass for the same reason.
If it is your mother's and she lives with you. I would imagine you have already asked her about them. Perhaps knowing her age, when she first got these (such as did she get them when she was young), can perhaps help you locate at least a time period.
I'd suggest going to a library or perhaps an antique mall and finding books on vintage/antique glass. Or finding a seller at an antique mall who deals primarily in glass items for the same reason.
Iridescent glass like this tends to date from the first quarter of the 20th century, it was often sold at "Five & Dime" type stores and given away a premiums or as Carnival prizes. Almost none of it is marked or considered valuable.
