Franklin Mint-Collector Plate-Butterflies of the World

Franklin Mint, The Butterflies of the World, Champleve on Sterling Silver. we have for your consideration is the collection of the Franklin Mint "The Butterflies of the World" plates. The collections consists of 6 plates, representing different continents, South America, North America, Asia, Australia, Europe and Africa. This is a limited edition, there were only 481 sets issued between 1977 and 1979. Each set (6) originally cost $1,440.00 or $240.00 per plate. The plates have Champleve enamel on Sterling Silver. The artist name shown is Rene Restouiex and was the Master Enameler at Lemoges France at the time.
