German(?) pre 1938 bayonet

I recently got myself my first bayonet. I have done a bit of reading but have not found anything more than the basics: It is made by simson&co prior to 1938 (simson&co was renamed in 1938 as far as I could tell. I honestly know nothing more than that. Markings: -on the blade: SIMSON&CO SUHL  -on the mount (not sure the correct name): j (or i) 9763   Thanks for any info in advanced
