Description
I have this goblet or challis that I would love to know something about.. I have tried to figure out the makers marks but I'm still learning. there is also some writing that appears to have been embossed above the cross but has since been worn off. any help you can give would be greatly appreciated.. thank you....

Category Metalware
Medium appears to be a silver overlay and is a heavier metal. there is a piece of hardware that connects the cup to the stem.
Distinguishing marks there are 3 makers marks.

thank you.

I believe i have learned that it is made out of a stannum element. the base of the cup and the cross appear to have a "rainbow" effect. the makers marks on the rim appear to be " GMR or GMK " and the middle image looks to be 2 crossed swords, and the last one is a "C"... there is also wording above the cross in an arch that from what i can make out says:

CHRISTIN__ STRA__ CLO__

But, that of course is inconclusive as well.

A pewter communion chalice, and by the looks of it it was once silver plated. Given the poor market for pewter and the fact that the silverplating is essentialy worn down to nothing, I'm afraid I'd have to say that $50 is optimistic.
