italian cherub statue

AI Appraisal
Description It features two cherubs together. It appears like a cast beacuse in areas there are tiny holes, which says to me it was a mold or something. I am not sure what it is made of, but it is very heavy, so I assumed marble when I initially looked at it. Some areas of intricate features looks carved. There is a black base made from the same material. Unfortunately that is all I know about the piece. My grandmother never said anything about this statue. THere is an unreadable signature at the bottom of cherub's feet. It almost looks like Aug. which makes me think of Augustus? You be the judge. Thanks :)
