This is about given to me by a relative so unfortunately I don't know the original Origins but it is in great shape and it has the name Richard Geipel on it.
Richard Geipel was a violin and chello bow maker mid 20th century. He was fromMarkneukirchen/Schönlind Germany. Upon researching there are bows with his name that state Czechoslovakia . I believe this bow is circa 1950's origin Germany, What I figure happened was that he moved his shop or opened another one in the 1960's In the Czech Republic.
These bows vary in price and I have added a link below for you to review past auction results.
Est Value: $400 - $550 US based on market demand. I would insure it on your house contents insurance for $700 - $850 US .. Now thats music to your ears ... or so I hope : )
Thanks for sharing. Please leave me a reply on my valuation. It is appreicated.
Peace Always
