Tell City Chair Company - Rose balloon back chair

Profile picture for user geemarcia
By geemarcia, 12 July, 2014
Description

Small chair with dark wood, possibly walnut, labeled underneath with Tell City Chair Company, Tell City, Indiana.  Pattern number 4563. Finish Mahogany #23. Cover # 31.

Appears to have original upholstery that is extremely faded because underneath it appears to have been either navy or dark black.

Wood in fairly good condition. hasn't been cleaned yet so I don't know if white paint marks or slight wear will finish out well.

Bought at estate sale for $25. Owner said it had been in storage for years. She was not even sure if it was hers or her mother's. Didn't know where they got it.

Size:  seat height 18". seat width 17.5". seat depth 16" which includes wood. chair height 37".

Flat head screws used to assemble chair.
