•Vintage item from the 1950s
•Materials: satin, mink fur, velvet
Amazing find - like new! Women's medium vintage mink coat sold by Cincinnati, Ohio, furriers Mabley & Carew. Late 1950s - early 1960s, waist length..a cape/stole/shawl/wrap
Black mink beautiful

Size Medium

Famous Cincinnati, Oh furriers who are no longer in businees but never the less an icon of Cincinnati and superior and quality furriers of their generation. The 2nd tallest (just now because that after new bldg was erected) in the city of Cincinnati is :Carew Tower and Art Deco/Nuveau sty skyscraper was the former home of the company.

 

Irs in great superior shape the stitching and te quality of the mink is not seen anymore. AVintage classic made in the USA by experts with desireable hand stitching and superior machine stiching as well

suprisingly light at 3-6 lbs.
History
It was my mothers and we found it in the house when she passed. I had maybe seen her wear it on one occasion my fathers funeral. It was kept and stored in an interior closet was not subject to humidity or temperature changes and was kept hanging in a proper suit/coat bag. It was as I am told a present to her from my father in approx 1957-1958.

Unkown back it those day furs were considered quite a luxury so in adjusted dollars expensive for the period
