Description
Approximately 6 3/4 In. Tall, brass statue with heavy tarnish and aging. Some of the discoloring on the inside is white. I believe it to be a statue of Quan Yin. She is one of the major deities in Buddhism and one of the most popular deities used in feng shui. Known as the Goddess of Mercy and Compassion, Quan Yin is a well-known deity not only in China but also in Korea, Japan, Malaysia, as well as with numerous Buddhism followers around the world. She is missing a portion of her hand and has a damaged face. Wearing a large hat with big ears, one hand laying palm up on lap sitting with legs crossed on what appears to be a large flower.
