looks like these triangle nesting tables from wakefield seem rare as the ones I've seen are rectangular shaped. Can anyone tell me what these are worth and if its worth refinishing or should they be? thanks so much!

To collectors of Heywood Wakefield the finish is one of the main things you shouldn't mess with, they like the finish intact, it's part of it's appeal to them. As for rare, HW mass produced furniture, none of it would be considered rare in the true sense of the word. At auction the nesting tables often sell for less than $250.00.
Notice I said " At Auction". I'm a professional Appraiser, and I don't just pick numbers out of a hat ;~). We subscribe to a number of auction databases that list virtually anything sold at auction back to about 1987. Of the 220 small & nesting tables by Heywood Wakefield sold at auction by well known Auction houses since 2003, only one set of three nesting tables sold for over $350.00.
The reason I quote auction values is because they show the truth of current market conditions, and not what some Dealer lists them for in their shop (often based a printed price guide from 2003). The market changes very rapidly now, and sales at auction tell "Real Time" tale.
For a true example of this look at the most recent price guides for most collectible figurines such as Hummels or Royal Doulton. They'll list some Hummel Trade mark one figures or Pre War Royal Doulton's for over $1000.00 that a Dealer would have trouble moving at $450.00.
