This is a Toby Jug.This one is named "Arriet" maybe 1946, it was retired in 1960....yours looks old. This is the woman from Hary Fenton's character jugs of the cockney pair "Arry and Arriet". (Harry & harriet)
This is a small one, they get up to 9 inches or so. I was just in England and ones this size were selling for about 60.00$ US. Look up "Toby Jug" on search and see what you can find. Some of the large ones are many hundreds of dollars. Royal Doulton makes a lot of them and is a good name.
