Amber Glass Box with etched or painted detail in white

Description This piece has been in my family for many years.....at least 75. The family was fairly well to do and lived in Rochester, NY. The box is glass (amber). It weighs over 5 lbs. Please see photos. There are no marks on the piece that I can see. The rim and clasp (lock) is made of a gold overlay, or is brass.

It's what we used to call "Mary Gregory Glass", after a decorator who supposedly decorated American glassware in this manner. Turns out the vast majority of it was made in Bohemia during the late 19th century.
