This item was in good condition until we moved, then the movers broke one of the legs, now I need to know the estimated price of this piece for claim purposes. What this piece would cost today in new condition. Thank you for your help.

Nobody can tell you much without an image. Lane chests are mass produced items and as such are not terribly valuable, even if in excellent condition.
most sell for under $300.00.
