Sentimental paintings like these date from the 1980's forward, and a vast number of Artists produced them to cash in on the popularity of the genre. A lot of these Artists are " Virtual Unknowns", meaning they painted under false names for Art Wholesalers who marketed these paintings at "Starving Artist" type sales In hotels and Malls.
That said, there was an artist Aubrey Dale Greer, (Texas, 1904-1998) who signed their work "A.D.Greer", but the style of yours doesn't match anything I've seen by that artist. Here's a link the works of the "A.D Greer" I'm referring to:
