Description
Can anyone tell me what this is and what a possible date is on it? It's been in my family for about 70 years and was given to my grandmother by an elderly friend of hers. It used to be her pride and joy. When she passed it was then used/abused by several family members until it came to me. It has been sitting and gathering dust in a shed for years. It looks to be tiger maple under the grime, not sure. :) The mirror is original to the piece. Several knobs are missing and the veneer is lifting from the top surface. three of the drawers have locking mechanisms. My grandma always called it a hutch. I would really appreciate some help with figuring this monster out.
Re: Antique Hutch/Sideboard ?
Can anyone tell me whether this would be considered a hutch, buffet or a sideboard?

Re: Antique Hutch/Sideboard ?
It's a Empire Revival style pieces made during the early years of the 20th Century, the wood type id quarter cut oak, which was very popular at the time. No huge demand for furniture of this style at present, demand peaked for it over 15 years ago. At auction these often go for less than $200.00.
