Description
It is the very first one of the Danish Bing & Gronahl Christmas Plate series. It doesn't have any major chips, cracks, or crazing, but it does have what seems to be a small bubble that has either popped or broken off.
(See Second Photo: Tiny surface is slightly raised but the raw has been exposed (greyish color, uncleaned))
The item is pretty dirty because I have not cleaned it in fear of doing any kind of damage.
Unfortunately I have no boxes or certificates.
Re: Bing & Grondahl Christmas Plate 1895
The 1895 Bing & Grondahl Christmas plate was designed by F.A.Hallin, is titled and called "Behind the Frozen Window". Behind the Frozen Window, is a vue over Copenhagen's skyline from a window at Frederiksberg castle, which was built by King Frederik IV in 1704, and used as his summer residence. These have sold at auction in the $1500-2000 range in the past year.
