I recently purchased this at an estate auction, and cannot identify the pattern.
It is a serving bowl, approx. 11 1/2" across and standing 3" tall. It has a pedestal base. I beleive it is stoneware, not china. The background is a mattled colbalt blue. The design is clusters of white flowers (chrysanthemums?) on white branches. The overall affect of the pattern and design of the bowl, gives an Asian feel.
The botton is marked Rosentahl Selb Germany in green underglaze. Directly below that, in what was black or dark blue lettering was, I believe, a pattern name. It is almost completely obsured. Then, in dark blue, and blurry, it appears to say handpainted, and below that initials w and m.
I've searched online and literally have looked at several thousand images, but I haven't seen this pattern. Can anyone help?
Thank you!
