1920s art in original frame

By Bassana1, 7 July, 2013
Description

This 1920s art piece is in its original frame and is rougly 4' tall and 3' wide. It is of an Asian lady/goddess standing in front of a lotus tree that is growing out of a beautiful blue vase. A white dove is landing on the tree. The lady is holding a small "globe" of some sort in her hands. At her feet is another globe that has a lotus tree in it. The colors are still vibrant.  In the right hand bottom corner is the name ~Georgina~  This piece came from the Estate of the Blumenthals in St. Louis.

Re: 1920s art original frame

With Art like watercolors, oils and prints, unless there is a publisher's name or some provenance, bill of sale etc. they nearly always need a physical appraisal to determine what you are dealing with. For example, from the image it's impossible to tell if this is a print, watercolor, or a picture cut from an old calendar. Pieces like this need a physical appraisal.
