Accurate Description of Item
One Georgian Style China Cabinet
Appraiser Remarks
Your Cabinet is a mid 20th Century piece, but was designed to resemble English Georgian style furniture originally made during the late 1700's by Cabinetmakers such as Thomas Chippendale (1718 – 1779). Cabinets like this were made by a large number of American manufacturers, not all of them labelled or stamped their products, without such a marking it's very difficult to identify a maker.
In the current market furniture in this style is not in vogue, it last peaked in popularity back in the 1980's. Since that time values have declined along with demand, we often now retail comparable cabinets for less than $1500.00.
