Re: Egyptian revival brooch?
Yes I would call this is a Vintage Egyptian Rivival Brooch
The medal looks like copper and I would agree enamel. Its unusal to see jewlery pieces made of copper as they will turn your skin green. Maybe because its a brooch there is less chance but odds say the pin will touch your skin when worn.
By the clasp, mounting and overall appearance, I would not say this is a very old piece.
Circa 1975 - 1985 Origin : Most likely a crafters market.
Estimate Value $10 - $20 based on demand and where sold.

Re: Egyptian revival brooch?
Thanks for your ideas. Someone on another site found one elsewhere after my post here that said "vintage art deco". Maybe the clasp and pin had been replaced? It was a family piece, as I said, and would predate 1975. Thanks for a pricing estimate.
Re: Egyptian revival brooch?
Thanks for your reply ... It is a very cool piece. Art Deco was Circa 1920's - 1930's It is possible that the clasp and pin were replaced but I have my doubts. Its always good to hear other points on pieces I research and evaluate ...or best guessimate : ) Enjoy you brooch it is cool !! Peace Always TJG
