American of Martinsville Armoire

This armoire or wardrobe belonged to my parents and has been around since before I can remember (I am 37). It is just one piece of a set that was in their bedroom. I really don't know anything else about it except that it is a very heavy, solid piece. I would like to know an approximate year and value on this piece.
