Fay Jackson was a friend of my family. She lived in Pasadena, CA in the 1970s and Garden Grove in the 1980s. I understand she did not start painting until later in life. I remember many ribbons from art shows all over hanging in her apartment studio. I know some of her pieces hung on the walls of a major casino in Las Vegas. She painted many original oil paintings and water colors. I have 6 pieces of her work and know of other family members with numerous pieces. She created many spectacular pieces!
I’ve been trying to find information on this artist. I have some paintings given to my family from her, but can’t find any information beyond that she was a friend of my grandmother’s. Most paintings I find online also reference that she was a friend of their family, but nothing else. Do you have additional information you could share? I’d love to know who she was, how she knew so many people, how she started painting, did she have a day job? A family?
Anyhow, if you could share anything, I would so appreciate it!
