Antique Zither and sheet music

By DDevlin, 17 January, 2021
Description

Antique Zither and Sheet Music: I am hoping someone can provide some information on an antique Zither and sheet music. Zither may have been manufactured by John Splurge Musical Instruments (former address: 91 Springfield Ave., Newark, NJ) circa 1870 - 1895. Sheet music includes: Choice Compositions for Zither (in German), Series I (Copyright 1897) and Series II (Copyright 1901) by Theodore Lore, 298 Grand Street, New York (Possibly in Queens, NY). Also: Winner's New American School for the Zither (White-Smith Music Publishing Co., Copyright 1890) and W. Bock's Original Composition fur Zither (copyright possibly June 11, 1870). Also have a music composition book with the name Pauline Trostle (?) circa 1892.
