It' seems to me someone sanded and/or stained
This piece I would call blonde..
All interior is the darker mahogany color of all other models I've seen online but I love the blonde/lighter coloring.. this works.. I have several records for this item all in awesome condition considering their age.. and all play..
Having a hard time pinning a good $ down as I run into several sites saying it's one model or a completely different model . So I appreciate the help with an appraisal please
There's another I found on…
There's another I found on the site here - https://instappraisal.com/appraisal/victrola-no-2-model-no603517de-ener… where they said they have an offer for $400.00. From what I've seen at swap meets and antique shows that seems to be about the price they go for. Only issue is that when an original item such as this is painted, even thought it can make it more beautiful, it does affect the provenance and thus the value. So, if I had this one, I'd accept around $400.00 for it, but realistically it can fetch a reduced price due to the painting. Hope that helps.
Values for things like…
Values for things like Victrolas tend to go in cycles, In the 1960's one could not give these away, then they ran up hugely in the 1980's. Currently they are in a down turn in value, demand limited to dedicated collectors. At auction currently this model goes for $150.00-$225.00
