Description
Looking for information and a value on this table. It was left in a lake cottage (along with other antiques) that my son purchased recently. The woman who sold the cottage was in her 80s and had owned the cottage since the 1940s. I believe the table may be a Robbins because it does have 5 legs, extends and is bulky like Robbins tables are. It will be for sale after we determine a value. Thank you.
Re: Antique Robbins? Table
You have a very beautiful table, and it apears,it has been very well cared for. Although I am not quite sure it's a Robbins. many Manufacturers made five leg tables, for two types...Extention and the very heavy! which Yours appears to be! ;-) I'm not saying it isn't a Robbins...it still could be. Robbins quit making dining tables in 1940. One thing I do know, if it is a Robbins...it will say so...if You look on the underside of the table, on the back of the facia board, You will see (Robbins) in Bold gold font,( table company) below it in smaller font, then (Owosso,Mich.) hope this helps! by the way, do You know who made the chairs?
