Values for old Uprights are very modest, generally under $500.00. The reason being that any piano over fifty years old will require a complete rebuild, eg new hammers, strings etc...., which often exceed the value of the cost of a comparable piano in very good working condition.
Today's value for an upright piano circa 1860-1880 would be: $400 - $800 in poor condition$1,000 - $4,000 in average to good condition$13,000 - $20,000 totally restored to factory new condition
