This is just one piece from a collection I inherited. It is craved from Ivory of some sort and has been in my families possesion for approximatly 50 years. It is 2"x2"x2" in size and very interesting.
Pair 9 in tall "Sterling" & "Weighted" Stamped candelabras. Top part is detachable to allow bottom part to be a candlestick for a taper candle. Top portion has 5 openings for candles.
There is a dent on the bottom edge of one of them, due to the metal being so soft and my moving over the years. Would it be worth having that repaired to increase the value? And what it might cost to repair it?
I am really just looking to get the value of them at this point and then will decide if I would like to repair and keep them or sell them.
I know people can sell items to be melted down as well, I really don't like that idea, I could use the money, but I don't feel they would really be worth much that way anyway, but really need some expert advice.
This 1920s art piece is in its original frame and is rougly 4' tall and 3' wide. It is of an Asian lady/goddess standing in front of a lotus tree that is growing out of a beautiful blue vase. A white dove is landing on the tree. The lady is holding a small "globe" of some sort in her hands. At her feet is another globe that has a lotus tree in it. The colors are still vibrant. In the right hand bottom corner is the name ~Georgina~ This piece came from the Estate of the Blumenthals in St. Louis.
Louis Vuitton tobacco pipe, with silver hallmarked spigot , bowl & lid... has La Routiere, Louis Vuitton France on the front of the wooden bowl, the LV logo on the sides.. and stem..
I know nothing about these so any info would be gratefully appreciated!
