Black pouch style vase with white glass interior, rope tie around the top. With gift tag, pilgrim glass sticker and signed on the bottom A. Moretti. 8 1/2" tall, 6" at widest point. Handmade USA PRINTED STICKER.
This needlepoint depicts a water well, crows, peasant men and women, eggs, pitchers with a star border along the bottom. Colors are vivid - reds, blues, blacks, golds, purples, etc. I do not know anything about the history of it, but would love to know more. I bought it at an estate sale in Granbury, TX, but the woman to whom it belonged had traveled extensively. The family did not know anything about it.
Picked these guys up at a garage sale today. 2 ceramic turtles (maybe porcelain?) with monkeys on their back. They're both the same but different colors all over. They measure about 1.3 feet long from head to tail. I can't really find any distinguishing markings besides a small square stamp with some sort of writing/script and I can't find ANYTHING about them on the internet. The only thing I've halfway figured out is that a turtle with a monkey on it's back is some sort of old Filipino tale. Can do more pictures if necessary. ANY info would be appreciated, thanks!
