I have a Sessions Antique American Mantle clock. Its in reasonable condition as far as i can see.Few minor scuffs and marks on it but otherwise great colour and in good working order.Im only just new to this site so i hope i can give as much information as possible as indicated to me in the conditions.Ive attached photos so i hope there enough for a good visual on the clock.I recieved the clock years ago from reputable clock maker,an elderly fella who had many and needed to get rid of them due to downsizing and moving.
Im just looking for a value and perhaps a year.Im under the impression its around the say1930s-40s to 1960s era.But not exactly sure.
Please correct me if im wrong but i was told it was worth around $250.00 Australian about 10 years ago.
On the rear panel is all the information about the clock but time has prevailed and its slowly dissapearing so if you know your stuff and can interperate it then that would be great or even if you have the same clock or one similar with the same info on it then that would also be great.
I look forward to hearing from anybody that can help me figure out what this clocks worth.
I just wondered how much this Lane hope chest was worth. It has wear and tear on the top, but the inside is like new. I looked online but didn't find any. I need to sell it to make space but if it's worth man than $200 or so as is than I need to know. Thanks!!!
Reverse painting on glass about (2ftx3ft) painting is of the Salt Lake City Mormon tabernacle. There is an inlay of mother of pearl making up about 30% of the painting. The condition of the painting is flawless. The building itself may be a transferred image of the church as the details are flawless and you can even make out the prayer in one stained glass window.
The frame is in good condition but probably not original, it had a paper backing at one point but no longer does.
If you remove the frame backing you can see the foil Laid over the painting. The foil is not adhered to the glass and you can lift it lightly to reveal the individual pieces of mother of pearl.
There are no marking, signatures, dates that I can find except a faint stamp on the cardboard used for backing. It has something hard to make out and then New York, it may just be a company stamp from a random box used as a backing.
It was given to me by my mother in law who go it from her mom. We know nothing else about it but it probably came from an auction in Montana.
Hi my name is Daniel, I have a painting by an artist named Nelson Foch. I've owned it for the last 6 years. i dont know the history of it. But i have had antique dealers tell me that the frame itself is worth 2 to 3 thousand, because its hand carved. I am really looking forward more out about this piece
