Has two pairs of legs that lock out at ends when extended. Has two leaves. Has metal plate with shaw furniture co visible when extended on top of center rail.
I have two porcelain figurines that my parents acquired in post-war Germany in the early forties. Pictures are attached. I am 70 years old now and have been in possession of these pieces all my life. They appear to be well made with nice detail. Under magnification, the details look hand painted. I’m sure there are gold details as well. The two figures are six and a half inches tall and are in excellent condition,,,no cracks, chips, etc. There are scant markings on the base. Just the number 2456, as though it were a model number. Just to the right of the number on the male figure is an indention that looks like it could be a marking, but it’s too faint for me to make out. On the side, inside the base is this other marking (picture #5). If additional images are needed please let me know.Any help you could provide in identifying these figurines would be appreciated along with a value if that can be determined.
This was a wedding gift to my great granmother in the early 1920's. It has pass through the family ( it sustained water damage at grandmothers and finally passed to my mom. We dont know anything about it. I believe its in the orignal frame. I have not opened the back but looking through the frame it has been cut off to fit the frame and there is no signature. I have never had it appraised or know nothing else about it. We would like to know artist, is a watercolor, print? origin. were not trying to sell it but if it has any value because of the water stain. Its has always been a favorite picture. Thank you
