Hello there,  

A friend of mine is asking me to find out the value of this dining room suite.  I have no idea where to start, so I did some searching and came across this website.  

I went and tood some pictures of the suite, and am attaching them.

All he could tell me is that he thinks it is from the 1930s.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This is capodimonte has 7 opening doors which open and close while music plays as they open there is place inside doors for cigaretts..not sure song its playing but on bottom there is written pechino bella=12 what ever that means? very lovely collecible looks asian style as doors has people with like asian style clothes could be china,and has floral like designs. this was given to me so dont really know any background. notice it out by the rash so asked man if he wanted that an he told me if i want it take it. would like any info on this.there is small chip which could easy be fixed,and there is small chains which i think had very small like faces hanging on them which is no longer there..maybe kids took them etc.. but sure dont hurt because its still very lovely. I have it now in my living room many notice it right away,and they love it. however i will sell if its worth the price for me to depart from it. I have no ideal what its worth but would love to know,and maybe will sell. any ideals please contact me with any info on this or if interested in buying.

I read the previous info on the painter himself and was disappointed to hear

he very seldom painted them himself and theyre not true oil paintings.  But beautiful and collectible anyway.

Floral Rim & Center, gold rim

This oil on canvas was bought in February '83 by a Navy man while in Hong Kong. He had asked a cab driver to take him to see some art and he took him to a little galary and he bought this for $200.00 US. There were a vast amount of paintings by this person for over 2000.00 US that were very large in size. The painting traveled on the USS Okinawa from Japan then brought it back to the States with him.

I have a set of 6 American Heritage volume XIV books from 1963 and 1962. They are in good condition.
