Hand carved burl wood couch bought at a rummage sale for $75.00. Was told(unverified) that it came from an antique store where it was priced at $1000.00 and sold for $800.00(no dates available) then later donated to the church for the sale. Found some writing on the bottom side - JD White 1920 Albany, New York. I have no idea when it was made but would like anu help I can get on value and origin.
I've had the knife/dagger looking thing for over 20 years but I'm not exactly sure what it is. There is a hallmark on the base of the blade that appear to be 3 S's surrounding what appear to be a cross. It is very old looking and has a lot of details. The blade slides into a case that matches the handle. Not sure what material the case or handle is made of.
Stamped on back Diamond China, tea service for 8 plus a creamer cup. Has gold trim, in excellent condition. This was my grandmothers set, perhaps brought from England with her in 1930's. I would like any information anyone has to offer on this set. It is in excellent condition. Please see pictures for details, if you know what to look for, I do not.
