Berkey & Gay Table Chairs & Buffet

Category
American Furniture
Condition
Good
Description

Puchased this set of Berkey & Gay Table, Chairs & Buffet (?) about 13 years ago

for $500 from an edlery couple that was moving. I'd like a fair appraisal and then look to sell.

I'm not looking to make money on this set. Would even consider selling for less than appraisal

or fair market value for a collector. It should have a nice home

Paintings with unrecognized signatures

Category
Paintings
Condition
Fair
Description

These paintings were acquired through an auction.  I am unable to find these signatures, I would love to identify the artists and value (if any).  Most of the items in this lot appear to be from the WWII era, if that helps.

Unusual Ice Scates

Category
Sports Cards and Sport Items
Condition
Good
Description

My cousin recently rediscovered a pair of black leather boot-type ice scates with cream colored

cloth lining that were given to her husband while he was in the Marines staitioned in Germany in 1945.

The scates are in pretty decent condition, no rips or tears, not many marks on the leather uppers.

The unusual thing about them is that the blades (which are like brand new and very sharp) have the name

J. A. Heckels stamped/engraved on them.  they also have the following letters and numbers:

#27  BNO62 #1.

On the boot sole there are numbers:  41  6 and on the inside of the boot are the numbers 41  49  1 stamped

into the lining.

The scates came with well made, matching set of leather blade guards.

My cousin is wondering what if any value they might have, other than sentimental of course.

She is aware that the J.A. Heckels company produces very high end cutlary so we feel that ice scate

blades wouldn't be out of the question.

Thank you for your time.

M. Erle

Photo frame - estimated 1920s?

Category
Decorative Arts
Condition
Fair
Description

We purchased this frame at an estate sale for the grandson of a prominent lawyer in Seattle (the lawyer practiced in the '20s).

We purchased it for $30 because the people running the sale said it was really valuable.

It holds a 4x6 photo (cut down a little) and is really pretty with some carved wood, possibly, and possibly gilt and painted flowers.

It held a WWI photo of a Canadian soldier but we opened the frame to take it out. It didn't appear to have been opened prior to that.

Antique Opalescent glass

Category
Glass
Condition
Mint
Description

I went to a garage sale today and my eyes imediatly went towards this glass, I asked how much for the glass and she said 15 dollers but I knew it had to be worth something, she said it was her great grandmothers and to take good care of it. I dont know much about this but it has no markings what so ever so I cant tell how old or who it is from, there are some imperfections with the bubbles in the glass and some bumps. but otherwise in mint condition. It is a pitcher with 4 glasses and bright fall colors some parts cloudy looking. Please help me identify this and the value.
