I bought this from an Egyptian family that had a store they closed in Egypt. It came with 70 other older pieces of revival era Egyptian handmade pieces. This King Tut statue is carved out of a solid slab of Egyptian limestone that was originally 3' 5" tall X 1' 2" wide X 1' 2" depth. This is very heavy handcut stone (not cast) with old world style polychrome paints. Most likely made not long after the discovery of King Tut's tomb in 1922.
I recieved this dresser thru the family. I know its a JB Van Sciver dresser cause It is stamped in the drawer. It has wheels on the bottom of the legs. Its solid wood very well built and in good condition.
